You’ll arrive in Philadelphia—a city built on declarations of freedom, yet shaped by exclusions and silences that too often left women, queer folks, people of color, and disabled voices outside the doors of power. On the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in Philadelphia, we reclaim that history. We rewrite the script.

Because this will be the room where it happens.

This is the room where we theorize new ways of living, resisting, teaching, and imagining. This is the room where silence is ruptured by bold scholarship, intersectional solidarity, and joy. This is the room where we speak truth—not to power, but with power. This is the room where freedom becomes a feminist practice.

Here, we will honor the intellectual labor of those who came before us—and we push their legacies forward. We center care, community, and justice in every session, every conversation, every act of gathering.

This is not just a conference. This is praxis. This is community. This is the future. And it will happen—because you are in the room.

Submissions are invited for presentations in multiple formats including papers, extended abstracts, posters, panels, and performances that address all aspects of communication, language, and gender. Sessions are scheduled for 75 minutes. Presentation time will be planned to allow for discussion at each session. Please note that AV equipment will not be available because of cost restrictions.

Participants may have more than one submission, but no participant will be scheduled as a presenter for more than two sessions.
